Joe Pedrotti

2019 Spirit of Sigma Chi Scholarship Recipient

Joe Pedrotti was a Mechanical Engineering major at University of Missouri-Columbia.  He graduated from Bishop Miege High School in Roeland Park, KS and played football, basketball, and ran track and field. He was a part five State Championship teams in football and basketball.  While in high school Joe served the community by volunteering at the Don Bosco Center and went to a mission trip in Chicago.  He was also a Kansas Honor Scholar and a Kansas City Star Student-Athlete nominee.  While at Mizzou he enjoyed golfing and playing intramural flag football and basketball in his free time.

We're incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Joe Pedrotti, the 2019 JSMF Spirit of Sigma Chi scholarship winner. This tribute to Joe is a perfect example of why he was selected by JSMF in '19. "Joe was always loving, kind, humble, patient, self- assured, funny and hardworking. Many of us find it easy to do the right thing when others are watching; however, Joe was the person who did the right thing when no one was watching. He loved his friends and cherished all the time he spent with them." Please join us in holding the Pedrotti family in your thoughts and prayers and supporting the foundation in his name. The Joseph Pedrotti Memorial Foundation strives to help others that encompass the drive, compassion, and love of life that Joe possessed through supporting programs that get students involved in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics along with educating others on shallow water blackout prevention and organ donation while serving the greater community. www.joepedrottifoundation.org/
