Seth Crockett

2017 Spirit of Sigma Chi Scholarship Recipient

Seth Crockett is a Freshman at the University of Missouri-Columbia majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, set to graduate in 2021. A native of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Seth earned four scholarships to help pay his way through school, including Missouri's Bright Flight and the University of Missouri Excellence scholarships. While in high school, Seth played golf and football, was heavily involved with Folds of Honor and Wounded Warrior charities and joined the Air Force ROTC program.

On campus at Mizzou, Seth is continuing his involvement with the Air Force ROTC program as well as spending free time with the Arnold Air Society, which provides community service opportunities to ROTC members. When he's not volunteering or studying, Seth can be found doing most anything outdoors, but especially hunting, fishing and playing golf.

When asked about what it means to be a Spirit of Sigma Chi Scholarship recipient, Seth says, "this is much more than a scholarship. This is an opportunity to work with some awesome people to help others, have fun while doing it, and honor Josh and his family. I am really blessed with this opportunity, and look forward to helping the foundation.”

Fun fact about Seth: He's a descendent of ol' Davy Crockett himself!

As of Fall 2018:

I’m currently a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Aerospace Engineering as well as Mathematics. My Presidency term will be over at the semester, so I look forward to having more time on my hands. I will continue to be involved in Air Force ROTC and hope to graduate in 2021 as a Pilot.
